Apply to TEDxYouth@ChavisWay

TEDxYouth@ChavisWay, an independently organized TED event, is a half-day event curated by NC State Extension program #PassTheMicYouth in collaboration with Wake County 4-H. Alliance Mental Health, and John Chavis Community Memorial Park Center. Our goal is to bring together bright minds to give talks that are idea-focused to foster learning, inspiration and wonder – and provoke conversations that matter.

Our event will be held on April 13, 2024.

Join us in inspiring change

Individuals between the ages of 10 and 19 may apply to present a talk or performance. Talks can be up to 18 minutes, on any themes or topic related to the theme of From Here to Everywhere. The theme is open to your interpretation. Performances can be up to 5 minutes and can include original music, spoken word poetry, dance, and other forms of artistic expression. If your application is accepted, we will work with you ahead of the event to craft your talk and finalize your performance. Talks will be filmed and hosted on the TEDx YouTube channel.
